Workout #51 of 2018. ***I got a boxy round email saying I've worked out 50 times so far. I'd counted it as 45 workouts. So I've been undercounting: 5 under in 3 months, about 10%. 3 more workouts and I'll beat my post high school high for number of workouts, which was 52 workouts in 2013, which was probably 20 higher than my 2nd most in a year.

It still feels weird, odd, a funny exception every day that I get up and go early to work out. That's about 3.5 per week since mid February. That is the longest, most consistent work out time that I've had since someone large was making me, e.g. footballs, wrestling, track, baseball coaches. I wonder if the longer term commitment of buying the gym pass was key here. I'm paying money, so I want to get something out of it. Plus, disappointing my mates is bad. That's accountability. I guess when you pile together enough exceptions, it starts to be come a habit.

I wonder if I should consider it a bunch of exceptions, or a habit? What would make it more likely to keep it going? It's good, so I want to keep going.

Would taking it day by day be consistent with considering it a bunch of exceptions? OR would it be more helpful to think of it as a habit, this is what I do, so I'm doing it, because I do it? That would apply a sense of inevitability too it. Would that be helpful or overwhelming?

It usually makes the most sense to go M-T, Th-F. But I've also gone 4 and even 5 days in a row, without injury. So, it has been sustainable that way. That's been an issue with running by myself. No accountability, plus I occasionally hurt something, which causes a break, which might end things for months.

I'm happy to hear other thoughts on this. Maybe it's a bit too reflective for a website walled fatsecret.
