I have been stuck in the same 8lb loop for a month or so now. I can't seem to convince my body it is okay to move on. Sticking w/my eating plan, I do have to start to double ck my measuring and working out. I am thinking I need to work in more excercise some how.

So this is what I do:
Mondays: 1hr Zumba & 1hr Pilaties
Wednesday: 1 hr Zumba & 1hr Yoga
Thursday: 1 hr Kick boxing
Sunday: 1hr Kick Boxing.

I am supposed to be riding my bike to work too, alas that never came to pass. With the heat and my own fear of ridicule beat that one down. I do have to do it though...really nice bike, new seat, and new basket! And I do have two dogs that I can walk, but they run a day in their yard...I know not an excuse.

I read about folks here getting up early and working out going for walks or even cleaning their house...and wow I am jealous!! I'm lucky if I cna make it to work for 6:30am. If I do get up when my husbands alarm goes off I do get stuff down around the house, it is just so nice to stay in bed for the extra 30-40min and then have the dogs come in and wake me up. (they love it!)

So in typing this I can see my solutions: ride bike and get my ass out of bed for a walk before work. Right?????? Damn I was really hoping for "NO no no... you do enough, just wait and the scale will move!" ; but I don't think that is going to happen!! Right??????? damn it.

Greetings - looks like you exercise well already - you may want to shake up the food plan instead. I found I was not eating enough calories when I was stuck. Your body may be holding on to the fat to fuel your exercise routine. Try adding some extra lean protein sources: nonfat cottage cheese, low-fat string cheese, a whey protein powder drink after the workout, and of course 100 ounces of water daily. Watch the sodium (under 2600) and be sure you get enough fiber (over 25). I bet you already know these things and I hope this feels like a friendly reminder. I got over my plateau by eating more - hard to believe but true!

I agree with HCB, you look like you do a lot of exercise, so maybe try changing your food first. If that isn't working maybe another option would be to go walking on a day that you don't do your regular workouts. Then you don't have to wake up early, but you are burning more calories that day. I do the early morning workouts usually, and it is a habit that I had to get used to for about 3 weeks before I was used to it and then it was just normal. You can get through this! Good luck!

Thank you both very much HCB & mars2kids!! Some very good pointers. Being wary to increase my food, it is intersting to hear that that might work. I will try adding more protein, and start looking into a protein drink after I work out. I am good on my water too. To the walking, I do like working out in the morning so I might try a walk 3 days a week. Having the dogs the fact that it would be really early takes the nervousness(sp) out of that. Again, thanks for the tips and support!!
