Finished day 6 of healing fast and started day 7 as of 1pm today. Neck by right shoulder super painful today. Gone for now thankfully. Knees only a little sore but then again, I didn't do very much today. I did take a snail walk around the block tonight. Thought I'd never get home - that's how slow! And wow water has been tasting really super sweet for the 3rd day now - and it's filtered water at the house as well as bottled water at my meeting Mon night so I don't think it's the water. Could have to do with white coating on tongue that I really didn't notice til today. This might be TMI but wow my body has changed it's odor and not in a good way, so I'm looking forward to that changing back to normal eventually.

Will be breaking fast tomorrow afternoon after the full day 7. Slowly with broth every few hours for the whole day probably. I really really thought I would go longer with this fast but it has just been exhausting and I think I've had enough of that feeling for now. It will be only 7 days but it feels like I've been doing this for 3 weeks. And my list of things to do keeps growing and I just can't put stuff off any longer, so the timing there is right. And the final nail - hubby going out of town for work on Tuesday means I've got to be alert and capable of taking care of our diabetic dog, which he has been doing while I've been fasting. So normal walks are important and giving him his insulin which there's no way I'd do as tired as I am. Long post, just trying to capture this in prep for my next fast if I do another.

Overall, I thought I'd go a lot longer and I'm somewhat disappointed that I'm stopping now. Not being fair to myself though, because 7 days is crazy long when it feels like 3 weeks:) And the timing works out with life plans, so it is what it is and I'm amazed I've been able to do this at all. 1st and 2nd fasts were 4 days, this one 7. If I do another, I'll shoot and plan for 15 days.

Really looking forward to that broth tomorrow afternoon:)

Hi Vam49...HRU today? Do you mind me asking what kind of broth you started with?

Hi Ettanaj. Been an interesting time breaking fast. I made chicken and oxtail bone broth a while back and still had some of it in freezer. Has been my best flavor combo yet:) Will be making more tomorrow after cooking oxtail stew and have a pork bone and chicken feet to throw in. Been fun trying different combos. All time fav though is turkey. How I am, though, is dealing with food reactions because 'Healthy Me' hid when 'Opportunity Me' showed up. I had one tiny mild drumstick at Popeye's when a friend stopped there for lunch. Thought wow this is pretty good but I'm glad it's small. Then later had some Phillips Maryland style crab cakes from freezer & thought yummy but way to salty. Turned out it was 1000 mg over 2 cakes. Dinner was 5Guys burger w/cheese & bacon and 1/2 the bun. I haven't had bread since May - don't know why in the world I did that other than: 'Opportunity Me' really is not very smart. Was feeling fine until 1:20 am. Won't describe any further. On the good side, I slept very well (unlike during fast) for the bit of the night that I wasn't in pain. Switched back to eggs, butter, chicken and homemade burger today and all is well for now. I was so excited about eating I forgot I have reactions and ate things I hadn't tested. I'll test them each again though after digestion returns to normal cause probably a lot due to refeeding too hard & fast. OH - and I noticed on your post that you were losing about 2lb/day which is just wow. I was surprised that I was losing 1.3lbs/day. You go girl!
