Diario de texasdeb, 10 may. 10

Had my ususal Saturday...went to grandsons soccer game. Went home and did a little housework. Did pretty well on the eating.

Sunday, MOther's Day, had MIM and coffee and then went to Scarborough Faire renaissance festival with DH and two friends. Had a blast. Got there at 10am and left at 6:30pm. I counted that as 3 hours slow walking since it was slow walking with some sitting to watch shows, etc. I usually have a peach bellini or a glass of wine but just had a diet dr pepper. Didn't have my usual allocation of water during the day but tried to make up for it when we got home. They charged $2.50 for a bottle of water (small) and it just irked me to have to pay that...plus no outside food or beverages were allowed. Had a sausage on a stick and a scotch egg (that's a boiled egg wrapped in sausage and baked, then rolled in a beaten egg, rolled in bread crumbs and fried). With mustard,,,,yum yum. I also always have one of the apple dumplings with ice cream...it used to be sooo good but I really wasn't even tempted this time. The money I saved on the bellinis/wine and the apple dumpling I used to buy some "fairy wings" for granddaughter--a much better use for my resources. And as far as the bread crumbs I know I'm not supposed to have bread crumbs but I didn't have cravings for another one and on the scale this am, I didn't suffer a setback.

Went home and for dinner had a big mixed greens salad with chicken, boiled eggs and cheese and one of those nifty Philly Swirls for dessert. I went over on my carbs, under on vege carbs, fiber and calories but ok on the fat and protein. This is not my normal woe, just an abberation. I have now decided to make some scotch eggs at home but use ground up pork rinds instead of bread crumbs.

The ANA is the approach to food for me but you can't always follow it exactly. So, today it's back in the saddle and onward and upward.

Sounds like a great weekend. And congrats on passing up the bellinis and apple dumpling. And spending money on the granddaughter was most definatley a better use for your resources. I'll bet she absolutely loved the fairy wings. Have a great week!
