I Ummed 'and' Arred about going to the gym or even going out so I could give my calf a rest, plus a few other aches & pains that had popped up over night, but the guilt got to me so I had smoothed in some deep heat into my calf and then had a slow cycle & walk to the gym & then had my normal stretch before going into the weights section. Had a slow cycle home, a nice hot bath & then applied more deep heat to my calf.
All 'n all, had a good workout. Slowly, slowly smoking monkey. ;)
