Diario de kpoppe, 16 may. 10

I was a BIG FAT failure this weekend. I ate a million things I shouldn't have eaten. Went to a graduation party hungry and it was all downhill from there. I have 4 more to attend over the next two weekends. I have to figure out my game plan so this doesn't happen again. I just need to get back on track!!

I hope you don't mind me commenting (sometimes it feels like I'm reading peoples private journals). Don't think of yourself as a failure. Everyone falls off every once in a while. A good tip I find for events, is eat a healthy meal before, then you won't be as hungry. Or if you want to eat at the party, eat half a meal before, then reduce your portions at the party. You aren't a failure. As you said you simply need to plan and then stick to it. Take some things you can snack on. Beef snack sticks, cheese sticks, pork rinds. And be sure to eat before you go, and keep a bottle of water in your hand at all times. When you get the urge to eat, drink some water. Family gatherings and special occasions are hard, but you can do it.

Thanks for the comments. I've been so bummed since I slipped that I haven't even been on here. I'm getting back on track. *sigh* This is going to be one looooong journey!

Don't beat yourself up. Many of us have had a slip and have had to pick ourselves up and move forward and learn from it. You can do it also. Good luck!
