** SIZE MATTERS? **
I was just looking at a thread on a bodybuilding website: "What is your arm size?" (all non-steroid lifters posting their measurements.)
The range for guys seems to be between 11" (skinny beginners) and 17.5" (bigger dudes with a bit of arm fat). It's all about proportion though; guys with little arms on a thin frame look decent. Carrying a lot of excess body fat in the belly or other places seems to skew the look dramatically.
I remember being awed as a kid by Hulk Hogan and his "massive 24-inch pythons" or Arnold's 22s...
Reading the thread gave me hope since I've grown 1.5" in 2 months already and barely any fat in my arms! I'm at 13" now (up from 11.5" when I'd started in July) and nice definition... finally gonna be normal soon! 😁
The factor working against me is I'm 6-feet tall. I'm gonna hafta work harder to LOOK bigger than a guy that's 5'9" with the same measurements - they're always gonna look stockier in comparison.
Some famous studs' measurements (for reference):
Daniel Craig has 16" arms at 5'10"
Mark Wahlberg and Chris Hemsworth (Thor) both have 16" arms, but Mark is 5'8" and Chris is 6'4"
Brad Pitt had 14.5" arms in Fight Club (but shhh - don't talk about it!) and 15" for Troy at 5'11"
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's are 20" and he's 6'5"!
So, by Christmas, I should be in the ballpark finally!

I think your right 100% I don't think I would be where I am now with the F45 alone. It helped me where the weights couldn't which was strip the last of my body fat but the real work in my definition (being what it is, I'm not happy but others say I should be) came from as arny would say...

you are doing great on your building program. you will find what you like when you get there and see it in the mirror. you will look different than those other guys as your frame is different. sometimes it surprises you what works and looks good on you.

Of course! You've done an amazing job and my current goal is to get to your level of leanness and doing a super slow bulk to maintain the low bf while working on some weaker areas and then cutting again.

I also wouldn't call you a runt. If you are that lean at 166, sounds pretty great to me. You said yourself you're in or close to the overweight mark on BMI.

At 160 lb, and 57 years old I have 15 1/4" and looking to go 16, but it's always been allusive, btw approx 11-12% BF

Interesting post until I saw the rock then went on a little day dream interruption. But hey, now I don’t feel bad. Mine are about 10 3/4” and I’ve actually lost not gained (the fat layer is coming off). Guessing that’s not bad for a beginner female 😁. I like the comparisons but I’ll have to look these people up. I never know who is who as I don’t keep up with that stuff. Will look up the rock again just because 🤪😊.

HEY I read back. Not everyone needs to know of my ignorance in all matters concerning celebs lol. I know their name ONLY if I find them quite attractive or they were in movies I loved several years ago. Oh and voices. Sean Connery.... love his voice and that’s the only reason I know his name haha.
