I’m not doing maintenance right. I’m discouraged. I’m looking into adding more protein but it has to be plant based protein cause I’m lactose intolerant.
You would think that it would be simple to just eat more to solve this but I have very little appetite.
Any suggestions from my FS friends that might help me....🤔

If you really cannot, there are always shake options (I have never drank them) to drink your calories

Honestly I remember saying I could not eat 1900 calories it was too much for me. now I’m at 2200 😳 and still 116-118 lbs

Check out FitCrunch bars. Snack size is 190 kcal and 16g of protein. I also enjoy premier protein shakes for 160 kcal and 30g of protein. These can be very thick so I use chapstick first and drink a bottle of water after. I too am lactose intolerant but the ‘milk’ in these don’t bother me. If I have two shakes in a day it’ll get to me a bit and sometimes if I have one a day for several days in a row. If I have them every other day or a couple days then a couple days without them then I’m good to go 😁.

Also, I was trying for maintenance and kept losing small amounts so I’m currently ‘dieting’ again. However when in ‘maintenance’ I added in ‘junk’ snacks and that helped me. A hand full of chips here and a snickers there helped to not lose much. A healthier option would be to add in some fresh veggies and light ranch or some cheese and crackers to get a few more calories in. Look for foods that are healthy but calorie dense if you don’t want to up the amount of food you eat by much. Cheese and cottage cheese are the only dairy I can have and not sure if you can have those or skip ALL dairy. Best of luck!
