Did my jog/walk thing this morning (8 a.m.) before it got too hot. Proud of myself for getting up & getting going, instead of getting sucked in to the coffee and computer. After school is out next week I'm going to tweak my schedule to get going even earlier, since I don't have to get Madie off to school. I should be able to get going by 7 a.m. or so, which will make a huge difference in the FL heat!

Thanks, y'all! Kmartin, I'm in NE FL near Jacksonville. We've had on & off thunderstorms over the past week or so, but nothing too bad yet - we're down about 5 inches in rainfall for the year and really need it!
I work from home so it's easy for me to sit down with coffee in front of my computer and then not move for hours. Getting it done first thing in the morning is the best strategy for me, but it's hard - I'm so NOT a morning person!

It's funny how we can force ourselves to do something we know will make us feel wonderful once we've done it. It's the getting goin that is always the worst. I commend and envy you for doing it.

Hi disifink,
Good for you to get out there early. My daughter lives in Coral Springs, Florida and I only visit in January/February and October. I can't do it any other time. Humidity and me don't get along. This morning UpNorth Minnesota it was 37 degrees F and you could see your breath. Currently 1 pm we have made it to 62. A sunny refreshing day. Gotta love Minnesota. If you don't like the weather, wait awhile, it'll change.
Enjoy your day.
Neesee :)

Neesee, that's funny - we say the same thing about weather here in FL. :) My first trip to Minneapolis was in June a few years ago, and I was absolutely floored that the weather was so cool and crisp. It was in the 60s on my walk from the hotel to the office and I needed a sweater, but I didn't have one because having grown up in Florida, the thought of packing a sweater for a June trip never even entered my mind! I'd give my summers for yours any day - but you can keep your winters. :)
