Diario de mrssetters, 17 feb. 19

It's amazing how little food I actually need. I thought about the size of a dinner I typically eat. Big, hearty, giving you the "I can't even move" kind of full feeling. Last night I had a cup... 1 measuring cup of homemade chili and I woke up today feeling totally normal. I didn't NEED the extra cheese on top or a side of corn bread or a big glass of milk. My body was content with what I gave it.
Leaning the difference between I need that and I want that will be the key to my weight loss.

I did the same thing when I made chili last week. Just one cup of chili...nothing else. I made corn bread and had crackers and cheese for the family, but I was satisfied with my cup of plain chili. In fact, I think I was able to enjoy the flavor more fully without all the "extras".

I have to remind myself that food is only to provide fuel for my body. I do not need to use food for anything else!

I am having the same epiphany! Old me shuddered to think about the amounts I'm eating now...but I'm satisfied. It isn't a perfect system yet...but I'm so much further along than I thought I would be!
