In Which I Discuss Exercise:
Yesterday I went down into the cold and scary basement and made the place where my elliptical machine is a little less scary and cold. It's a very good machine, and deserves a better place to be... but it's way too big and heavy to sit upstairs. So since it can't come to me, I have to go to it. At least a few times a week. I take my big Kindle down there and watch Prime TV shows while I do it.
I'm not sure how to count the calories it says I burn. The machine tells me I'm burning about twice as much as my Fitbit tells me. I don't suppose it really matters, though. 🤷♀️ I mean, calories aren't the main reason for exercising, right? (At least this is what I tell myself, haha.)
I can still ride my little cheap exercise bike and lift my hand weights upstairs. I'm not the best at exercising and tend to get off track with it a lot, but I do try to do at least a little something if I'm caught up on housework and want to watch TV.
I do wish the YMCA wasn't such a pain to get to. It's a half-hour drive from me, and the parking is terrible. I loved their pool, though. Swimming is one exercise I actually like. Bah. Oh well.
