Tang was our family’s upgrade from koolaide 

Ohhh wow!! This takes me back to my childhood for sure! Was our choice of drink too, plus koolaid that Dawn mentioned. In the summer, my mom would freeze tang into those popsicle moulds for us. Man, I grew up so unhealthy. It’s amazing I have no diabetes or health issues of any kind! But sometimes, I think, because this was restricted or tagged as unhealthy in our world then, we didn’t really over consume it. And we were super active from morning til night, swimming in the river, biking everywhere, jumping rope, climbing rocks, hiking, skating, climbing up and tobogganing down the hill for hours!!!!! Hmmmmm...activity saved our lives!!!!!  

*wasn’t tagged I meant to say... meaning you only truly want something when it’s restricted...usually, right??? IMO anyhow. 

TANG, the breakfast drink of 1960s astronauts...where did you find it? 

I miss this...and I agree CTD always felt like I was cheating on the kool-aid 🤣 

How can it be unhealthy if astronauts drank it? 

I forgot all about the freezy pops!!! I wish I would have grown up more active. But Miami’s sun and humidity didn’t mix well with my gothic skin and attire 😆😆😆 Outside activities were limited to summer in NC where it was slightly less hot because of all the trees 😅 

Dawnie, I grew up in Canada, cold winters and very cool summers. We lived outside, year around. My family didn’t own an igloo!!!!!! Bahahaha!!!!! You lighten get that, sorry. There’s a very ignorant stereotype that we live in igloos...guess we da north have our stereotypes about Americans too, to be honest!!!! 🤣🤣 

Beating up on Tang is fun but the reason astronauts drank it is because in the context of an overall healthy diet it won't do you any harm. 😉
