I never drink cals either, only a protein shake. But today after work, a client handed me a tall glass of iced tea. I’m not even a fan of it but I was sweating after two hours of intense cleaning and she knew that, so I have to say it was very refreshing. Nothing like water though after a cleaning frenzy or a workout! All in moderation of course but boy, that iced tea used up almost 200 cals...imagining the food I could have had instead!!! 🤔🤔HAHA

That’s exactly my thought wifey, 200 can be a good amount for solid foods 😋

Try green tea— does not taste bitter and really refreshing. Mix a few macerated blackberries or raspberries in it.

In my head I was honestly thinking, Rosio wouldn’t be drinking this!! LOL It’s all good. Only once. No big deal at all. 😁

Good idea with the green tea Kenna! I’ll do that. I like fruits in my water to flavor it at times. Also cucumber slices etc.

I drink Aqua de Jamaica every day— I make it from the dried flowers myself. Totally hooked on it. It is used in Mexico and by the SW Native Americans to help control both BS and hypertension. . I did the validation on that from a medical point of view and I did find the supporting literature in the medical journals. Same for nopales

Rosio— I make my Jamaic tea without sugar. I will sometimes put just a bit of SWERVE in it— Like 1/2 tsp.

Well I’ve seen you all talk about this aqua de Jamaica and of course I had to google it, my hubby being Jamaican, yet I never heard of it. So my conclusion is it’s the Nexucan version of Jamaican sorrel, a drink we LOVE at Christmas, but only then. I actually had some dried sorrel I forgot to use in December so I saved it for Easter! 😉 Anyone know if it’s the same drink? I think similar, yet different? Yes? No?
