Here we go again with another episode of "listen to the lucky, skinny guy whine".

Anyone wanna call dibs on a high-speed metabolism before I post it on eBay?

Everyone envies a fast metabolism because I can eat like a teenager at 42 and not gain weight. I know, I know: "cry me a river, jerk."

But, the fact is that I'm trying to put on weight here. I've gone up 5lbs solid in this last month, so not bad (10lbs since early February). Barely any fat noticeable at a sustained caloric diet of ~3400 (average daily).

Oh no! I just realized I'm beginning to get focused on the scale!! I'm seeing the gains and wooshes and it just started frustrating me today for some reason 🤔.

Just a bit of insight: if you think weight loss is a slow process, adding muscle mass is astronomically slower. Talk about a patience-check...

And chicken and broccoli? Try at least 1500 calories combined with chicken broth as fluid. Drop broccoli every fourth day and add turnips.

Chris, I do not know what aka is but it sounds like a great plan. aka starve and feast and be the beast! Also, 'cycle' is cardio bwahahahaha

I can sympathize, opposite problem. I gain quickly and lose slowly. Keep going! You looked lean in your last pic, show a side by side progress pic.

Giving this more thought once I worked out my envy - it is a difficult thing, isn't it? You eat more to avoid being skinny. You're working out to build muscles. Yet the working out is using up the energy from the food. I know, restating the obvious. But yeah, I can muster up some empathy.

I'm interpreting that a humor as you added the winky emoji, LOL. Otherwise, directing that type question at me would be silly indeed. I only know how to gain fat. Your chicken and rice meal reminds me of 'Showgirls'. Make sure it's brown rice. (winky smirky cross eyed emoji)

No kidding - I'd need the barf bags if I just ate 4k of chicken and rice and sat at my desk.

Sweet Mary! 4,000 calorie OMAD would be awesome. Could you imagine? I'd move slower then a 3 toed sloth in summer. And good catch on swimming...another cardio exercise. They're everywhere!
