I'm dedicating this one to Nikina70 and SkyHeart424: "The Silent Supporters". I've seen you guys "heart" so many of these posts... it's okay to comment and join in the antics! Even if you don't contribute to the conversation, just say hi! ❤

All I've gotta say is: I called it!! (the weight)

Apparently, the game is getting tougher - it seems 500 calories isn't enough of a surplus to gain anymore... silly body keeps adapting 😠. Going up to 600 this week I guess 👍.

I was saying: Eat! Eat! I may have spelled it wrong. I've only ever heard it said - a bazzillion times.

LOL - following the hilarity on Erq & Chris' journal comments are consuming my day! Try to keep up the momentum at least another 90 mins, okay?

@LZenn, nope, you spelled it correctly. Mangiare is to eat. What I wrote was in the Venetian dialet, which is what I hear everytime we visit my husband's family. Doesn't matter how full you are.

Thanks for your entertaining and often informative posts Chris. Not much to say at this stage as my own weight has stalled for months and I've recently been advised to take a break for a month and not fixate on the scale, but I can't stay away from FS and will continue to be a silent supporter.

Change up the types of food you are eating. When I have a stall, which is often, I incorporate beans, more nuts, and fruit. Vary your menus.

True plateau (for me) average 6 weeks; never panicked though. What were you doing in August of '18 and what are you doing now? Yes, you can increase dietary changes along with a variation of exercise change. Maybe more fiber like foods, weigh all food for 30 days, have someone critique your food diary, have someone be a partner at the gym or home for either motivation or accountability or both. And you thought we were just some gorgeous characters on the interwebz?!? hehehe

If you have the nerve Bill (Draglist) recently devoted a month to exceeding his RDI and did gain but then it came back off and his weight loss somewhat restarted itself. And the rest of these gorgeous folks have plenty of good ideas.

Nikina - I recently upped my calories, but I did it because I didn't want to keep lowin them in order to lose. With that said, check to make sure your stall isn't because your too low on calories. Similar to what/why Draglist took a Diet Break, as Bella noted. Good luck!

I upped my calories to maintenance level for a week, that broke my stall.

Quit working out 🏋️‍♀️ 💪 & Eat!! But of course, muscle(s) help in adding weight!!

Thanks for all the great advice folks! I think I will record my weight on Friday morning, which I haven't done in a while, and then I'm gonna take a break from tracking and try to kind of eat intuitively for a couple of weeks, with maintenance calories in mind, then I'll start tracking again on Monday, the 6th of May. I was aiming for 1650 average daily calories last week, but I was just under that at 1623 and lost all of 200g so don't know if that's too low or too high.

@Bells 'we' refers to everyone who ever had an idea.

@ Terr ... What? You know you have to draw my outlines with those big crayons.

'and the rest of these gorgeous folks have plenty of good ideas'. Your quote above. My 'we' can refer to everyone. Except the Irish.
