Wasn’t the cabbage water lady on Dr. Phil? I think I saw that one and people on the diet wanted to die.

So I tried to get some silly idea for how to build muscle without lifting, and all I could find was body weight training suggestions. That's actually pretty solid lol. A long time ago, I went from 170 pounds to 195 by just eating 4,000 calories a day plus and doing push-ups, dips, squats, lunges, and various other exercises that didn't involve any additional weight. Probably didn't hurt that I was 17 and pumping out more testosterone than is physically possible for anyone older than a teen without the roids lol But I didn't see the silly suggestions I expected. I have mixed feelings about this. 1. I'm glad for the lack of misinformation on the first page of search results but 2. I was looking forward to making fun of it lol

She might have been on Dr. Phill. I don't recall. But the few people I knew who tried it certainly didn't love life at that point lol

My Grandmother did the cabbage diet because Dolly Parton promoted it. Lasted about an hour. I think she was hoping her boobs would get bigger.

It's amazing a man his age has no lines on his face. He's only 58, so maybe just a little photo enhancement. He has pushed so much snake oil, hard to believe people still listen to him.

Sorry, Diablo. Should have read the thread. You already addressed snake oil. 🐍🐍🐍

Wait ... salty snacks end bladder uh-ohs? When did 'uh oh' become a medical term? So I can just trade the kegels in for some saltines? What a deal!

You know E, I wouldn't have noticed this unless I went back to look for the photoshopped lines... he's smirking, isn't he. He know's this is all BS but hey anything for $$

Yeah, Bella, salty snacks might make you retain water so you can't pee! Lol some trick. His name fits him perfectly too! Oz !! Just a man hiding behind a curtain with a bag of tricks. Remember he had to go before congress because of some of his claims. I think it was the the green coffee bean one that got him in trouble.

@erquiaga the last time I was flipping the channels and landed on his show I said the same thing! Looked like he got a bunch of Botox shots in his face, his face had no wrinkles but looked frozen!!! 😂 definitely a snake oil salesmen.

@love2educate the problem with him is he pushes so much "bs" that when something is on his show that is somewhat true or works it's hard to believe. My father always said once your known as a liar, no one will believe you when you are telling the truth, he also said you have one name, don't tarnish it. Words I live by.

@Peeperjj, the Big Food, Pharma, and "diet" industry "innovators" behind these magic-potion pushers carefully research people's vulnerabilities and play to them shamelessly. They know that people are in so much pain and so desperate for quick and easy solutions that profits are guaranteed. I had to laugh when Dr. Phil came out with his second, "new and improved," weight loss book, touting "all he'd learned" since publishing his previous volume. He has T2 diabetes but remains overweight behind his well-tailored clothes. Why doesn't anyone in his studio audience ask, "What's it done for *you*, Dr. Pheeeel?"
