so...I'm down 30 pounds, and I'm really proud of myself-however I'm currently stuck. I cannot get past this mark and it's killing any type of motivation that I have. I know that MY attitude is what is really what matters, but the people around me are truly starting to drive me into a downward spiral. If I complain about the a bump in the road, or it I don't show a positive respond to the tiniest thing I get attacked by coworkers.
This is causing my after work gym visits to be lacking, and making me just want to binge on comfort foods.
At this point I'm just beat down and depressed beyond all belief.
I need help.

Don't worry about what your co-workers think. It's nothing to them, it's your life. Keep your head up and try your best at everything.

I would love to ignore them, however no matter what I say, how I act I get told that I'm avoiding conflict and that I'm too negative. Even just ignoring them. I would love to tell them, "gee I wouldn't be so down if ya'll would just give me a break." but with my luck that would be seen as combative

It's very rare to find a truly supportive co-worker who has your best interests in mind. They are in competition mode at work so despite their actions, real friendship is usually off the table. Keep your thoughts and feelings close to your heart when you're around them and only confide in people who you know truly love and support you.

It’s habit that keeps you going, not motivation. That’s why I urge people that I help with their weight loss plan to not talk about your diet. Those of us who are interested in this stuff and are working on our goals get excited (or discouraged) by the day by day grind, but reall, others get tired of hearing about it. Truth.

How about go shopping and get your right size? Or get your old favorite dress and take a picture and see the difference? Sometimes, you just got to pick yourself up and expect nothing from everyone else because it is only you that matter :) Have a great day!!!

It's normal to plateau once you've lost a good amount of weight, like you have. As others have said, it's habit that's important - and even if your gym workouts are lacking, it's better to go and do a half-assed workout than none at all. (And you'll feel better having done something.)

I don't always follow this myself, but if you can walk in your neighborhood or just in your backyard, instead of a binge eat, get up, put shoes on and either walk 5 minutes or just stand outside. Find something delightful in God's creation, breath in fresh air and you shall forget to binge.

Ditto to what Kenna said in her comment.

It's not motivation that keeps you going. It's inspiration and consistency. AND MATHS. Our bodies are not made to support a lot of weight so actually it's easier to lose when you are overweight. You just have to be focused. Keep it up, that crucial calorie deficit. Add weights, it will help tons. You will make it!

I suggest you stop talking about diet and nutrition at work: it's private and health-related.

Maybe you might get a little notebook and just write to yourself. Tear out and rip up anything that brings you down, then just toss it away. Can also express negative responses to co-wokers, then throw away after you get it out of system.

Your coworkers see this as a sore spot. They're going to continue to pick at that sore spot until it festers. Don't join their little game. As my mother is so fond of saying, "Every dog has its day. Theirs is coming."

my son has been on a weight loss journey. He experiences plateaus now and then. He changes up his menu for a week. I always have too. What works for me is a change of exercise or activity. Until I get past the bump.

Miserable people at work try to rope us into their little miserable games. Find anyone there who will speak civilly and hang out with them instead. Maybe you can find someone to be friendly with and let that grow.

Seriously, treat this as a private health issue - it's not really their business.

No one can make you feel bad about yourself unless you give them permission. Don't give them the power. Talk about it here with like minded people. Keep this to yourself at work. You have to decide every day and maybe even several times a day whether your want to be the Captain of your fate or if you want to be controlled by others.
