I'm wishing I had done more to show my partner the depth of my love and appreciation. A box of See's chocolates, a couple of balloons, a Papyrus card, a fresh loaf of home made bread; doesn't seem like enough. I did write some pretty steamy stuff in the card, so it is highly possible that this evening I'll have a lot more to give, wink wink.
I may bake some cherry chocolate heart smart cookies; a very small recipe with oats, whole wheat flour, dark chocolate, and enough butter and brown sugar to bring a big smile, but more treats, even healthier ones, aren't necessarily a loving gesture to someone who wants and needs to lose weight.
I just can't think of anything that I can afford that my partner would really love. Maybe I'll just be extra loving and offer a nice long foot massage; always welcome! Yesssss! Oooh, another thing; I can wash and fill the new hummingbird feeder we bought, hang it up so that the little hummers can find it & be happy, which will make my partner happy!
I should go buy Beau a new DaBird head for his toy. The one I bought for him has too stiff of feathers & he doesn't enjoy catching and "killing" it, which leaves him frustrated after all his bird and squirrel watching. He should have a present since he got me a pound box of See's dark chocolates, lol.
I know I shouldn't be sitting here on my bottom with my knee stiffening up, as much as I want to catch up on more of your journals and see how everyone's doing. My pain level is pretty high; glad I have physical therapy at 8 am tomorrow; she really helps get the muscles loosened up. I suppose I shouldn't use up my Starbucks iced nonfat latte burst of energy on typing; I'm off to get something accomplished!
