I'm the only person I know who eats chicken liver regulary lol. 400 calorie dinner. Chicken livers, tomato slices, raw broccoli, green onions, and peas. Hubby wanted peas so I had some too :)

I used to run a fried chicken place and we sold a lot of livers.

So, what's wrong with chicken livers? I eat them all the time, at least twice a month. Just by themselves dipped in FF Ranch dressing. It's a great snack or even lunch.

Chicken livers are very nutritious, lots of protein. However, one 2 ounce serving has over 300 mg of cholesterol (typically 300 mg has been considered a good amount to intake in a day unless you have a severe case of high cholesterol )- they are after all liver. They are also very high in vitamin A. which is a vitamin that if eaten in excess can be toxic to the body. A NORMAL 2 oz. serving once or twice as week is probably not an issue but something to consider if you think you are eating more than a couple ounces as a serving. People do die from Vitamin A toxicity— I have seen it happen a few times in my nursing career. Do a GOOGLE and read up on the nutritional values of chicken liver.

i’ve never had liver of any kind but definitely willing to try it out.

I was borderline anemic as a young teen, and mom would make me chicken livers 3x a week with onions, I loved them...and my anemia problem taken care of . I preferred them to calves liver etc...
