I told the nurse there was no reason to keep lifting if I wasn’t gaining muscle. She said that my bones became more dense and that in itself, for someone like me, is huge. So now I guess I lift to get better bone health AND have my treats. It’s also a joy to eat more at each meal and not be hungry while maintaining weight. I think 1600-1800 is my top except on workout days.

Strength is always good for life!!! Helps to keep osteo away and bone density loss as you get older. I wish that I had started it earlier in my life.
