Still stuck at 189 since Dec. 16 even though I cut calories to less than 1000/day. That's two weeks of no loss while averaging 1100 cal. each day. Ordered a new scale. I don't understand how my body is resisting any fat burning. Even if my body is in survival mode, how can it survive on less than 1000 cal. without burning fat stores, especially since I am exercising? Something is wrong with this system. If I am doing something wrong, I don't know what it is. I am beginning to think I will have to get drastic and really cut back on the calories.

Try taking a laxative. Sometimes you just get backed up. I've been gaining weight. I have to cut my calories and start walking again. HAPPY NEW YEAR!

You may be eating too few calories, do a little research before you cut further, with extended periods of a large calorie deficit you run the risk of damaging your organs. Take care of yourself!

I am trying zigzagging!! I read about it. Eat around 1300 to 1400 cal./day for a couple days then 800 to 900 for a couple days then 1300 to 1400 and so on. This confuses your body so you don't plateau. This broke my plateau. I am down to 185 pounds. I started on Nov. 19 at 200 pounds and lost 15 pounds in 44 days. That's 44/15 = 1 pound every 3 days average. I am not depressed anymore and have new enthusiasm. Just hope my technique keeps working. 15 pounds to go. Wish me luck. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! Went for a 15 mile bike ride this morning. It was 78 degrees here at 6AM. Probably make 80 later today. Great day to spend outside or go for a ride along the beach with the top down.

When you exercise, you build muscle mass. So you may be burning off fat that is being replaced by muscle. Be patient and give your body a chance to plateau for awhile. The weight loss will come. Are you using a kitchen scale to measure your portion sizes? I found that when I don't use the scale that I under estimate the calories of a portion.
