Half way done w/ mowing the yard! Greg normally does it, and I thoroughly appreciate when he mows. But, since he is gone for the next 7 weeks except for Saturday afternoons it needed to be done. Plus, my landlord is coming over tomorrow and I didn't want to be totally embarrassed. I better get out there are I hear a storm approaching and would like to finish!
My mom and grandma had to put down their dog yesterday. It started out as ours growing up and my mom took her over to grandma's for a few days and she stayed. However, my mom is over there taking care of my grandma almost everyday, so still very much her dog. Anyway, she was 15 and had lived a good life. My uncle accidentally hit her around Thanksgiving in the yard and her pelvis was broken. She healed, but I guess because of the accident her kidney levels were elevated. Everyone had decided if it got to the point that they were too high and she wouldn't have a good quality of life that they'd put her to sleep. Well, the last few days she hasn't been eating like her normal self and my grandma let her out and she didn't come in. When my mom got over there Brynn had kind of scratched a place in the ground and wagged her tail just a bit when mom went over, but didn't move. I guess they just knew. The vet confirmed. So anyway, that's sad, even though we knew it was coming sometime. It will be weird to go home w/out her there.
Work was quite frustrating today, I hope tomorrow is better!!
