Well, first time on the treadmill in about two and a half months. Did a 40 minute workout where I did 5 repeats of walking at 3.0 mph for 4 min and running for 2 min at 5.0 mph plus a warm-up and cool-down period of walking. It's a start. Felt pretty good; actually did better than I thought I would. Heart rate got up to a max of about 155 and usually fell down to about 110 before I would start again. Max heart rate (or highest heart rate I was able to achieve) two months ago was about 175, so I'm not in as bad of shape as I had feared. Now, I just have to stick with it.

Ate about 1800 calories yesterday. Did get a craving for food just before bedtime, and answered it with 100 calories of Rolled Gold Mustard pretzel twists. :) Still well below RDI. It's a little aggressive, but I'm shooting for 10 pounds a month to get back in the game; and a not so aggressive goals of 2 months to be running 30 minutes at a whack. I want to be sure I have a solid running base before I go doing any speed work or distance running, to prevent shin splints and other maladies. I'll throw in a few bicycle rides here and there just to keep my buns of steel. I'm guessing that Jess has grown more than me over the last couple of months - but she has an excuse, but I'm not waiting another 7 months to lose mine.

Going to be pretty busy over the next couple days doing career planning with all my team members.

LOL DK. Always a riot. 10 lbs a months sounds amazing right now. I'm looking to lose another 40. Let's do it!
