Today was a pretty gosh-darned nice morning to take a walk. By tomorrow morning, however, the morning temps will go up by about 5 degrees and the humidity's coming back....and the potential for rain....and on it goes. Doggies were along for a mile and then one of them went for 1.8 miles, then I finished up for 3.2 miles today.

I was more tired than usual but I think it's because of my shoes. I have a sore toe and so I went back to my old shoes which have more room in the toe box. But those old shoes had been retired for a reason....they've lost a lot of their cushioning, so I think it was just the lack of spring in my step - quite literally - that just made the walk more tiring than usual.

Today, I'll probably be at home most of the day, so I'm tackling all the laundry associated with changing the beds. With 2 big indoor dogs, I need to do this more often than non-canine households.

My sister seems to be doing better. Between talking to her and emails, I think she's in a better place than she was earlier this week. This weekend might be tough for her, however, with not having to go to work. Most folks welcome the time off, but in this situation, I think having a regular routine, going to work, would be a helpful thing.

My Labor Day Blitz is going well. I'm back where I was prior to this past weekend's activities. The dinners away from home didn't make a huge impact, but I was out of my usual rut. Looks like I won't make my goal weight by Monday....unless I don't eat between now and then.....LOL.....but I'm hoping to be at either 150 or even 149. And either number would be great. I have to remember that my whole intent in beginning this Blitz back at the end of July was to get back into loss mode and actually drop a few pounds. And that, I have accomplished, even if I stay right where I am.

If I continue this lower-carb regimen for a few more weeks, I need to come up with another name....September Speed, October Octane.....who knows. :)

Heather, I'm only following those who hit their goal....as well as those who're still going strong. With you and my other buddies, it's MUCH, much better than trying to go it alone. :)

So glad you are losing weight and that this blitz is working for you. It's been so difficult and such hard work, losing used to be a lot easier, maintaining was the hard thing. I'd love to try maintenance some time but I'm a bit a way from there yet :)

Is....you got that right....losing seemed to be a lot easier the first time around. Oh well, nothing to do about that but just deal with reality. Will it be Labo(u)r Day up in Canada too?

GG, it's getting tough to come up with something new and interesting. But I'm going to try out a new recipe as soon as I finish surfing a bit. Then, it'll be time for a grill-feast. Have a good weekend!
