Diario de debbra, 26 dic. 08

This is my third journal today. I feel like eating. I'm in a munchy mood, and I did pretty well today, except for no exercise. I just got on the scale, and I didn't love the number, but I know it's late and probably off. But I'm going to write on here until this urge to eat goes away. I'm not hungry. I'm just a little bored. And I'm tired of how long losing weight takes. But I know that if I eat now, I'll be really sad later. I just have to hold onto that knowledge. It's so tough. I get this itchy feeling like I want to eat. But I don't even know what I feel like eating. I just do, though.

ack, i HATE that it doesnt tell us what time ppl post their journals. I hope you arent eating. I hope you went and made yourself some tea or something. Or to stave off the hunger jump down and do 10-20 push ups. i had a bad day eating wise and only did 20 minutes of cardio. Tomorrow morning I weigh in and im praying for a 2 pound loss but who knows

Well, I just ate two bags popcorn, which adds up to 4 extra points. But I'm feeling less hungry now, so I'm going to drink a big glass of water. I think that wasn't such a bad thing. Maybe I really needed it. But I feel better now. Thank you for checking up on me!

Emotional eating is such a nasty habit to break! But you are making a good go of it because you are recognizing it and doing something to help you get through those feelings other than food (ok, the popcorn got the upper hand but habits aren't broken overnight). That's so key! Keep working on identifying true hunger and emotional hunger. The latter can't be satified with food (the food is just a distraction) so find new, healthy habits to "feed" that need. It might be something as simple as some meditation or picking up a hobby or reading a book. You can do it!

Do you maybe need to tweak your exercise routine? For me, if I'm exercising I don't feel as much like snacking. I hope you find the right tools to be your healthiest you!
