3.1 miles walked today, all with doggies, and all in a light to moderate drizzle/mist. You know the kind...the kind that doesn't feel like rain, but if you're out in in long enough, you have to change clothes when you get home. About 61 degrees, so kind of cool and clammy.
Very few people venture out when the weather's like this, so it's quiet and uneventful in the neighborhood, although it appears at least some schools don't have classes today. I think it's still a bit early for Christmas break, but maybe not.
Gonna try out that cake recipe today for DH's birthday this weekend. It's a good baking day.

Hey, Sandy, great job with the walk! The schools here were supposed to start the break on Monday, but due to the road conditions, they started yesterday, and they are oh, so, happy!! lol

Way to go on your walking. Please let me know how that cake turns out. If it's Atkins friendly, will you share your recipe with us? I've been drooling for a piece of cake. Lately haven't had much time to do anything here around the house. What a dissaster area. I should post a sign on the front door that says, "Hard Hat Area".lol Hope you had a wonderful day.:)

Not too bad....no one died yet! LOL!! Will set up journal entry with the recipe either later tonight or tomorrow. I'd definitely do it again, maybe with a tweek here and there.

And the good thing was that DH was quite happy with it as a birthday cake. Now, mind you, he's normally not really into cake and he does NOT like the typical, sweet-frosting cakes one gets from bakeries. I love them, but he does not. Still, he dove right into a piece as soon as he got home from work and had another with dinner.
