When trying to lift like a Russian power lifter, one must eat Russian foods. Science!

Breakfast #1: Bang protein coffee in a can (traditional Russian drink) and a healthy sized bowl of pelmeni (chicken and cereal raviolis).

Breakfast #2: pickled carrot salad and someone managed to sneak sauerkraut into my hot, fresh roll!

So good!

Post-workout meal on the way after I'm done at the gym.

Oh my!! You’ve made some great choices here, I am so jealous! This looks like what my family eats for New Year’s Eve, except there’s usually caviar too. I will never understand balsamic vinegar on pelmeni, though. It’s supposed to be butter and sour cream. But yeah, Russians have a sick love affair with garlic. You’ll be tasting those carrots well into Thursday, dude. But at least you’ll be safe from vampires til then. The cabbage roll is a childhood favorite, but the potato ones are the ultimate comfort food. Get the fried ones next time and try the meat filled. I always hate myself afterwards, but those things are magical! 😍
