OOPS, I DID IT AGAIN....! Got really hungry last night. I ate peanut butter with a spoon, the healthy stuff. A little bread. It probably wasn't so bad. I was just not feeling well without it. I need to get back to that feeling I had last week, where the deescalation on my weight chart looks so pretty. I want more of the same. I had several days of enjoying the hunger, enjoying the weight loss. Yesterday Livelifefully said something on my journal that I think is wise -- fewer carbs. Today I'm going to try that technique again. I think that is the way to go.
I'm not going to be down on myself, though. I think it was true hunger. And even though I'm sure I went over my points, I didn't really "pig out." I just sort of satiated myself. Then I fell asleep pretty early, feeling pretty good. So there it is....again! And on to another day to make this thing that I want so very much happen....

see, dont say "i did it again" and such. I think it makes it out to be worse than it was. But if you had a spoonful of butter and a piece of bread.....thats not bad at all. Keep in mind that when we workout more our bodies need more fuel. maybe feeling sick was your bodies way of saying, i need a few calories. make em god calories

Good point, Karen! Next time you have a late night craving like that, reach for a piece of fruit or a Curves bar or something. Something with 1 point and lots of fiber. That will totally help.

Where do you get Curves bars? I never heard of them. Only one point?

Taking care of the hunger is fine and it sounds like you did a good job on your control.

You didn't do anything bad, Deb! You just ate enough to make you feel better, then you were able to sleep!

You need to eat if you are truly hungry. It's ok to do. If you can, go for as many natural foods as you can as opposed to processed. Although my favorite nighttime snack every night is Edy's light french silk ice cream in a sugar cone, filled just a little above the rim of the cone. It's so good and about 4 pts. One of my favorite natural snacks is an apple cut into slices with a tiny sprinkling of cheese over it, and almonds on the side. Pair with peppermint tea to make it extra special. It's high volume and all natural as opposed to a processed granola bar. I eat those too, but it seems to make sense to eat as much "real" stuff as we can. I think you are doing great! Keep up the momentum.
