⚠Journal covering the events of Friday, January 23, 2009: As I am now recording the events of the previous day, I will sadly relay that I went slightly over to the dark side last night. I say slightly because I indulged in a little sour dough, topped off with two chocolate coins left over from the holidays, and then a nice heaping squeeze out of the Hershey's chocolate syrup bottle, that I then endeavored to finish off with a spoon. Okay, with all the flourish aside, I overate! And this was after a huge salad that I thought had filled me, a small piece of steak, and a serving or two of carpaccio that my husband had made. I think I've listed all the offending articles, so no more shall be said on that account.
To my shock and dismay this morning, as I really didn't think it was so much food last night and I went to bed feeling relatively pleased with myself, I gained three pounds this morning on the scale, the most I have seen in a long time. I will not record it. I'm hoping the scale will change its mind before the day is over. And I will now begin my day, going straight to my treadmill, which will hopefully combat the terribly unfortunate event of this day's weighing.
