Been struggling again. Not much motivation. All I can do is say tomorrow is another day to start. I have done so well at first and now there's nothing. I have to find ways to stop eating junk food. That is my biggest problem and where it is in the house it is hard not to avoid it but it's also not right for someone else to stop what they like because of me.Going to lower my goal to a pound a week to see what happens.

It's hard when there are snacks etc in house that you are trying to avoid. I find if I have prepped snacks I am more likely to stay in track. Best of luck to you!

Could the tempting snacks go on a higher/separate shelf? Somewhere that’s a little more out of sight but accessible to the others in the house? And then maybe put your healthier choices on a shelf at your eye level? You can do this! You haven’t given up, so pat yourself on the back for that!

Is it possible to have the junk food, but portion it out in a small dish so you don't eat more than a single serving? Small step, but slowly cut back instead of giving it up cold turkey.

@maritimer.... I put all my carbs in one spot where I can't see them. outta sight, outta mind! I hope that you figure out some ways to become healthier... don't give up!

I love junk food too! While I don’t ask the wife to hide her candy bars, she keeps them out of sight for my benefit. After all, people who care about you want to see you succeed! Keep up the effort!

I measure 2 oz servings into containers, then hide the bags from sight. It makes it finite. I don't eat candy anymore, but do eat potato chips, ice cream, etc in 2 oz servings. It just makes it easier to stay finite. From the bag is infinite. I can't really feel when I'm accurately full anymore, so I rely on a combination of feeling and measuring.

Two things that helped me: 1. All food must be eaten on a plate, sitting down and with no distractions. It helped me control my portions much better. 2. Always drink water first, especially when you have cravings. Sometimes your body confuses dehydration with hunger/cravings! Good luck, dont give up!

I am the same way!!! But this time around I am focusing on my why more and giving myself grace. It is a journey. All journeys have ups and downs, good days, bad and worse days. one or 2 days of bad days is not going to make you fail. you only fail, when you quit trying. I am changing my relationship with food and how i think about "dieting" and i have lost 18lbs because of it. i made a weightloss binder and filled it with stuff i love about weight loss. quotes, recipes etc. YOU GOT THIS

Junk food has been my biggest failing. I am a sucker for lollies (candies) and potato crisps. We have decided to remove them from site so I don’t get tempted. Good luck on your journey

What are some of your favorite junk foods? There are subs you can do. For instance Steak Sandwich...you can do the innards of that in a bowl or even as a salad. For Pizza you can make what we call around here - MEATza...where the crust is made from ground ckn. It’s easy to do. There are many dessert tricks too. We do low carb as a lifestyle in our home and my husband will have for a treat - 2 tablespoons or so of cream cheese with a side of frozen cherries for instance. He claims it is like cherry cheesecake without refined sugar. We do still have treat days of course!

Motivation is very fleeting. You have to be determined. I try to put the junk food where I can't see it.

The struggle is real. Might be easier to finish the food triggers around you, one way or another, and stock healthier food options. Motivation helps, persistence pays off. Love your pic. Exercise with your beautiful pet is wonderful.
