Whoa, Valentine's Day. A day that was never a deal to me, with the exception of today. First off, I still crave sweets...and lo behold a customer brings up a Mrs. Prindable's Apple, 2- Mrs. Prindable's Chocolate Pretzels, and a box of fine chocolate. WELL, I gave a pretzel and the box to my hub, the apple to my employee. Felt the ok to have One Chocolate Covered Pretzel. NOW, another customer stopped by just to drop off 4 Red Velvet Cake Balls. In my younger days only cocktails appealed to me and I couldn't say no, but unfortunately now it's "food" especially when they are "gifts". I just ate 2 of the cake balls, found their nutrition on another site and tracked them. While I do know that I should just dump or save the other two for my employee, I will be taking them home for later.
Yes, I feel the need to splurge on me since it is Valentine's Day - and no not because my hub didn't buy me chocolates (or the usual gift) - actually since I love techno/electronic/house/rave music he MADE a song for me. Not only did he do that, but bought a recorder to transfer Mixed Tapes to CDs (yeah, I still like those - so what?!!) I will transfer to mpegs later.
I guess I'm still feeling ok, but like I'm on a tightwire. Haven't splurged out of control haven't even gone food shopping because it's dangerous territory right now. At the same time, staying within my caloric limit but just not with great food TODAY.
Hmmm, 4 cake balls = 1 REALLY good gourmet cupcake.. :)

If you have ever made red velvet cake from scratch and read what red dye does to the body you will never eat it again. Just an idea of how to resist if you like red velvet.

A few bugs won't kills us, it's all the other stuff in there that will. I should have been with wholefoodnut and not tracked, but at least I can look back at "my guilt". I've know what was in Red dye for over 20 years. :)
Worst part, I HATE RED VELVET!

@lisaappleton..NAH, I was the original raver! Started in the 70s with disco/funk/glam rock, punk/dance, early 80s Chicago house to 90s tribal/techno/London house, now just Sirius XM--Electric Area. Lots of raves in London and NYC! :) p.s Red Velvet was "Southern" staple, that's become popular over the past decade everywhere--not so great, give me French patisserie any day though. :)

Still a southern staple, i made one cake years ago for some occasion at work. 2 entire bottles of red food coloring!! All i could taste was the coloring, everyone else loved it. Never made another one and i don't believe i've had a bite of one since. LOL.
