HAPPY VALENTINES DAY EVERYONE!!!...wakin up to 36 with a wind chill of 26...an gettin ready to head out for a morning walk...its the weekend so time off from the gym...have been thinkin alot about what fakeplasticlala suggested to me an gonna try to start joggin alittle on the treadmills an see if that shocks my body..im sure it will shock everyone that sees me doing it..lol...but need to do something to get this body burning off more calories thru the days...and i have wanted to jog for several months just found it hard with all the weight i was carrying...just starting out so not expecting to do any longer then 30 seconds at a time an build that up ...i did do some yesterday on the treadmill on a hill program an i can tell you i was sweating more...but only able to do it a few seconds before i was ready to get bck into a walking routine...so monday when i do it..i wont have the treadmill set on a 15 incline...lol...start off on less of a hill...well...need to get up an eat...almost time to layer up an head out for a morning walk...tried to jog alittle layered up yesterday but just wasnt as comfy doing it yesterday...but do plan on joggin on my morning walks once i can take a layer or 2 off...besides...makes more steps on the pedometer...lol...i did hit in the 18,000 range yesterday...and only 4,000 was on the bike...rest was done by moving my feet on the pavement...or floors...i tried to keep up an moving more since the temps have been in the 50s or so thru the daytime...well have a greatttttttt valentines day today everyone!!!!...catch you all later!!!

10. At Lunch Eat Fewer Calories !!!!!
11. At Supper Eat Even Fewer !!!!
12. Water !!! ..Water !!! ...Water !!!...Flush Out Your System !!!
13. Keep Track Of Your Salt Intake !!!!!
14. Taking Days Off To Rest Is Necessary... For Recovery !!!
15. Doing Hi-Intensity Workouts Builds Up My Heart Muscles So That I Can Get More Oxygen Into My Body To Burn Off More Of The Calories !!!!!
16. Dont Starve Your Body Of The Calories It Requires !!!!
17. Exercising Should Become An Enjoyable Experience That You Look Forward To Each Day !!
18. And Lastly ....Your Only In Competetion With Yourself...Do The Best You Can Do Everyday !!!!!!

Happy Valentine's Day, twin! Enjoy your jogging additions. I started slow, too. And I'm still pretty slow, but can do minutes now and not just seconds. Have a wonderful day!

I admire you for attempting the jog. Could not go for that activity myself. Anything that gets that heart rate up there in a new a "muscle confusion" kind of way. I think I quoted you yeaterday. You had posted an article about aerobic exercise pumpung the heart to feed oxygen to the blood cells so that they burn calories. Something like that. My husband was complimenting me for skipping rope and I described the process I just outlined here. He echoed, "That's right!" Thanks for teaching me so much Mr. Fun!

EWWWW jogging Yuck! For one of the challenges I used the prevention power walks and jogged the fast times and walked the slow ones. It gave me something to keep up with. I think one of them has you at the fasted clip for a minute at a time so you might try that one. Good luck!

used the wrong word..not really joggin but short intervals of sprinting would be closer to what i plan on throwin into my workouts...an that should be a different workout for my body thats gotten use to the same workouts...

i dont like to jog either... but intervals are great! run a bit, walk, run a bit. changing it up seems to make the time go faster! I really like your mini goals/motivations!
