I read your bio- I love that you just started Atkins, I did too! I have only been on it for a few days. I haven't felt hungry really but I have had some mental trials and tribulations. How has it been for you?

I am comming to the end of my 3rd week of Phase 1. I may go one more week then move to Phase 2. I lost 10 lbs first 2 weeks then slipped up and ate fast food last Sunday so I know that put me back at least 3 days. I also didn't start REALLY counting net carbs or make sure I was getting 12-15 g of carbs a day from vegies untill this week. I am not hungry and I am actually loving my salads everyday. I know you can do this, the first week was kinda hard to do for me as I missed bread and rice and all the other bad carbs, but it got easier. Just stick with it and you will get there!

I have thoughts of carb foods, A LOT! But I honestly can say when I think of them I am not hungry for them. That is a powerful feeling. These past few days have been hard- headaches and tiredness. I thought I would have energy but I don't yet. I am not a big salad person but I am creative so hopefully I can use that to my advantage and work something out! :) I love food, good food and cooking so hopefully it will come together soon. It's great you have been doing it for a few weeks! Congrats on your 10lbs! I am sure everyone slips once in again!

The carb cravings should go away for you soon. I too love food and love to cook but I know that right now my weight is overboard and I have to find a way to eat right and live more healthy. I struggled with being tired at first too. I was able to go to my Dr. and get B12 shots at the begining of the diet and again last week and that has really helped me. I also am a caffine addict so my afternoon cup of joe is a big help too. I am glad your creative maybe you can share some idea's with me as I can see how I could get into a rut! Have you gone to the Atkins site? There is a great database of recipe's by phase and also alot of great information about the diet in general. I am sure that if you follow the rules of Atkins you will start to see the scale go down very soon!
