Well, I've been off the website for a while, because I got very sick over the weekend, ended up going to the ER Monday, with a flaming case of acute appendicitis. Had an emergency appendectomy same day, and am now back home, as of last night.
The surgeon said my appendix was huge, and filled with pus.
Related to my diet change? Went from Vegan to Atkins. I felt bad every time I ate a meal with any meat in it other than fish or chicken; those don't seem to bother me. But beef and pork cause an uncomfortably full feeling in my upper abdomen, probably my spleen.
I think I'm going to have to modify the Atkins diet, to exclude these meats, and have more egg-based main dishes, along with fish or chicken. Can't afford another episode like this, since there's no appendix there now to catch all the toxins from such a high meat diet.
