I'm trying to follow plan but things keep getting in the way. I know excuses...excuses. I met a friend for lunch today and I tried to make a good choice. Guess not I'm already over my point total. At least I'm being honest. It will be water and vegetables for the rest of the night. Wish me luck.

Forgive yourself and move on. It's really really hard to make good choices when you're at a mexican place with someone else and they put that basket of chips down on the table. Happened to me the other day. I even planned to say, no chips, please, but they were already on the darned table when we sat down. And my husband was crunching away. Maybe next time eat somewhere else or decide ahead of time what you are going to eat. You can do this. Don't beat yourself up--that just traps us in an endless cycle of guilt and overeating and then overeating more to punish ourselves. Move on.

Don't let one bad week set you back. I gained over Easter and was really sad about it, but moving forward I tried to focus on making better choices. One thing that's been working for me is I give myself a break and eat a "real" dinner once a week. I go light on my points earlier in the day and if I go over, well, that's ok too. It really helps me take the stress off because I know I have given myself that option. Keep at it!
