Forget how many you can do in a minute! (Unless your a total professional at pull ups already!)
If your just starting out, seriously, I’d be aiming for 2 or 3 proper ones, all the way down, and all the way back up.(I’ve been doing them for months, and I only do 5 at a time, x8 sets, 40 in all, and it’s a killer 🤣 if your working arms , it’s the fingers towards you grip, if your working back, it’s the fingers away from you grip.

Thanks Jamie!! I’m a newbie. My plan is to try each morning before I get ready for my day. I’m going to YouTube. I also have a trainer that can demonstrate. I think I would like to switch it up… arms and back. Plus so terrific for core!! Thank you again my friend!! I just didn’t know how to set my focus. Yeah doing farmers walk will help with grip and forearm strength too … which should help in the long run with your pull-ups :)

Pull-up bar that’s exciting! First thing I would is grab onto the bar. With both hands. And try to pull yourself up. If you could do one, just keep doing one every minute or 2 minutes or 5 minutes. Now if you can’t. There many ways to get started. First you must give up cheese. Second you could use bands to assist you. 3rd it’s called negatives, so you harness all the negative things people say about you and use that power, jk negatives are when you jump up and hold yourself up there for as long as possible till you slowly come back down. 4th is use a chair or something to prop your legs on so you are only pulling half your weight. I never liked pull-ups till I got serious about it and it’s one of my favorite exercises now, good luck n be strong like hulk 😉

I'd say a good start would be to learn to 'feel' your lats as you're doing them first. so you're actually using them and not your biceps. check this video out.

Pullups have always been out of reach for me. I still try but can't quite make it up on my own. I have strong lats but it still eludes me..I admire anyone that does them..

I was able to pull up once today!!! Unassisted!! I stood on my stool. Kicked the stool back, then pulled up, slowly but I did it!! To me that’s unassisted lol🤷♀️ Could you hear my cheers of joy?? 😂💪🏼

Is it the same benefit if I do 5 pull ups in a row as 5 pull ups throughout the day?? I’ve set 5 as my first goal. This will take awhile to accomplish, I realize that.
