2014.10.12

Well, I have been putting off this entry for quite some time now, in the hopes that it would not become deemed necessary. However, I find myself very much in the want for a specific type of physique, and quite simply, I don't see it nearing soon enough to achieve my goal at my next physical. Evidently the Cardio and Strength Training I do works well for maintaining this vessel at a Current weight, with a seemingly fair exchange of fat burn to new muscle tissue development. That is, I do both fairly regularly and am toning as well as gaining attractive new mass. My problem, if I may refer to it as such, is that I genuinely desire a more lean starting point from which I wish to develop upon. One that my current regimen would appear to satisfy as a maintenance program. To put it bluntly, I feel I need to make a broader jump toward a more pleasing outcome. Fact is, I'm quite comfortable and fine with the way things are presently, not only in terms of the exercises I do but also by the fact that I eat basically whatever I want, including fast food...but yet, I am not HAPPY.

In the past I was able to knock off 35 pounds in 7 months with essentially the same Cardio as I do now but, I gobbled up a whole bunch of what I refer to as "Empty Calories" - fruits and vegetables, in small snack baggies every two hours. Now I know there are those who will argue the stance that these are anything but empty calories. So before you "school" me, just understand it is easier for me to use this description, as they were top-heavy in carbs over protein, and for that fact, kept my head in a "fog" in perpetuity. I couldn't think straight, often, and this to me was a major downer, thus my use of the term "Empty". I stopped doing it because, for me it was worthless to be losing the weight successfully, while simultaneously gaining no new strength, muscle mass or clarity of thought.

So now I find myself wanting that better starting point from which new gains and/or goals can be set by.

I have found that some of the carby foods, which I like, can in fact be replaced with others which I may or may not like. I'm willing to find out and grow on.

So, I have not made any changes to my "original" target weight of 140 pounds, but, seriously, I really don't see it having any real bearing on my overarching goals of toning, cutting and adding new muscle mass to my naturally small frame. It's the ...getting to the starting point that is in the forefront now.

And so, today I will be committing a form farewellcide, (I just made that up, on the spot). I will partake of my favorite Domino's Pizza and anything else I choose, for tomorrow I will hit the grocery for some of the familiar's and not so familiar's and take that dive toward a New Beginning.
