I can’t remember the last time I was on here. I have no idea how much I weigh now. I know I have gained weight. I accept that. I keep telling myself I will start on a journey to a healthier lifestyle tomorrow or next week etc. I always have an excuse. The good news is I might have found the motivation I need. Just saw that my ex husband (we are on good terms now) posted on IG that he has lost a total of 60 pounds.

One of my major struggles is that my partner doesn’t cook so it’s all on me. I work full time, go to
college, have a family and am finishing up another book. My partner also eats a lot of junk and doesn’t drink any other liquid except Pepsi.

I’m going to weight myself and then try to start by seeing if I can stay between 1500-1600 calories a day. Baby steps. Any advice? I could use it. Thanks 🙏

Keep it simple (simple ingredients) and track what you eat on here until you’ve got the hang of it. When you have time on a day off make a big meal and freeze it in portions so you have something easy to grab for dinner if you don’t have time or motivation to cook. One-pot recipes are a lifesaver! A website I use a lot is www.budgetbytes.com - the recipes are easy, budget friendly and lean towards the healthier side. Good luck!! We are rooting for you!

Drink a cup of water first thing when you get up in the morning, and drink a minimum of 8 cups of water per day. This decreases the appetite. If it sounds like a lot, start with a little, and increase the amount gradually.
