Exercise, active lifestyle and lots of water during the day will help you sleep better at night. Eat your last healthy snack close to bed time too.

Thank you neffaly for your advice..I do try to get my 10,000 steps in a day but I could use more water intake.

Oh, what I wouldn't do for a line of Oreo's and a tall glass of milk. Yes, night time eating was definitely the hardest part of losing weight for me. I really had to work hard to break that habit, and continue to work hard not to go back to my old ways. I started doing my exercises in the PM after dinner, and I've been sleeping a lot better. They say too many carbs or sugar will increase your appetite. Nefftaly's advise sounds right on spot.

high fat/protein snack could work wonders - cheese, nuts, avocado mousse or coconut milk are just some recommendations.

I used to wake up in the night because I was eating too few calories and I was hungry. As soon as I ate just a few more, healthy calories, I slept all night long. This might help your situation of late night snacking. I hope so! Good luck! And as my trainer tells me: Yesterday is gone. Focus on right here & now. In other words, don't get down on yourself. You are moving in the right direction. :)

try bringing a water bottle to bed with you - if you wake up, take a great big sip - it may curb your craving. Also, try eating an apple with some nut butter (I use almond butter, but I'm sure peanut butter is fine, too). The protein and fat from the nuts and the fiber from the apple should help keep you full throughout the night, and the natural sugar in the apple may satisfy your craving for something sweet.
