Basic idea is that very low carb / Banting is the healthiest way to lose and maintain weight. The body needs enough protein and enough fat. Low calorie diets are very dangerous and so is excessive exercise. Eye opening 😯

Thanks @Jax, to get our head around this.... high protein, high calorie equals weight loss is interesting. Maybe some of the banting supporters can share some thought?

It can be high protein, high fat, but definitely low carb. Sometimes you'll gain some weight initially if you've restricted calories for a long time, as the body sometimes needs to heal first
