Diario de writingwyo, 20 jun. 22

A light lunch packed with fiber and nutrients, with some probiotics to boot. Brown rice, edamame, carrots, broccoli, and homemade sauerkraut. Not quite enough food for me, so I had a couple of dried figs for dessert.

I did, indeed, Anne. Was pretty dang tasty with the sauerkraut. My husband makes it, and I've been trying to make a conscious effort to include fermented foods in my diet

I go for kefir, I find it easy to fit into the diet regularly. I think gut health is incredibly important for our general well-being! I also have a spoonful of kimchi now and again, just on the side of my dinner.

Thanks, Anne! I love kefir, but I no longer eat dairy. I am making or buying non dairy yogurt. I also eat sourdough bread, sauerkraut, miso, and tempeh. Haven't had kimchi in a while so might need to get some or make some. Sometimes my husband ferments carrots for me too. I've seen a lot of info on the gut microbiome to convince me that fiber and fermented foods are the way to go!
