Well I finally have a moment to sit down and journal... what a hectic week I'm having! It's all good. I have been a busy butterfly for sure, painting my heart out but it's all starting to come together at the soon to be new Nomad. However, when I got there this morning, I discovered some lovely city official had left a "stop work" order on our door. Sheesh.
So I called Brant (one of our two Nomad pastors) to tell him the bad news, and he came down right away and met our landlord. To make a long story longer the man that originally approved us to go ahead without special permits is now conveniently on vacation, so now we're dealing with all new people. Anyway, we have made good progress and should be back to work shortly.
Thought I'd share an "uplifting" picture of yours truly in action this past Saturday:
It was a beautiful day and being up on that lift was cool, great vantage point.
So tomorrow I will change plans slightly and work on the canvas I am doing for the new children's area, in the morning I'll go to the current Nomad building and sling some paint of a different kind. I have to make a sketch first, and then on to the canvas.
I think I mentioned earlier that I bought some new workout clothes along with the non-dropping-down-to-my-ankles shorts for work. Well now I have added a pair of actual running shoes to my better fitting workout ensemble... I even got the socks to match my new smaller knickers! Actually I don't know if they match or not, I'll spare you those pictures LOL!
I know I have been having personal issues with the scale (I swear the one at the gym is in cahoots with the Evil Elliptical), but as I have learned the numbers therein or thereon or whatever aren't the only indication of physical improvement. I am now noticing subtle changes in my body other than the carefully crafted beer gut I have been carrying around for a while, such as I am feeling real definition in my arms, shoulders and lower legs, there is truly muscle there where fluff used to be! I am amazed. So all the work I am doing is paying off, and I think the changes I have recently made will start showing up on the scale as well.
So, I will continue to plug away and not pick up my toys and go home... this the long haul, and no quittin' this time. 5k in November? You'd better believe it! I even have shoes for it now... LOL!
Peace to all, many butterfly blessings to you!
