It's a Beautifully Black Day!

Long day yesterday, didn't get a journal entry in. Mostly ran errands and went to my 2:00 appointment with Rachel, then we had our Wednesday night group we call Tribes at the new space for a work party, they got the stop work order removed so we are good to go. It's all about money. Thinly veiled as "safety concerns" or "code compliance", either way it costs more money. So I am thankful they found a workable, but temporary solution. I'm getting ready to get back up there this morning, we only have the scissor lift until tomorrow, so we must make hay while the sun shines!

I tried out my new shoes on the treadmill yesterday and they are quite satifactory, as are the special socks that are made for running shoes, I was overdue and the now retired gym shoes will live out the remainder of its days as painting and yard shoes. The new duds are the bomb as well, keeping the girls happy and other special areas friction free... a very good thing in muggy buggy Florida!

I challenged the gym scale yesterday as I changed clothes after my workout, I told him that I was tired of all the negativity and that if things didn't change soon then I was going to buy my own scale and ignore him completely. Of course he countered with some drivel about how they were in the same union and that he had plenty of other women that loved him and yada yada yada.... It was only when I turned my back and walked away that he relented and bid me return, promising to be a good boy and place nice.

Looking at him in a manner reminiscent of Charlie Brown eyeing the football, I gingerly stepped on and made the proper adjustments, and thanked Mr. Scale for finally reflecting a lower number. He is in agreement with the Publix scale, which is undoubtedly in the same union, so that means the Publix scale is probably another pound down from the other day's weigh in because the Publix scale is bigger and always wants to be first. I will address him later this week.

So, other than making up silly stories about inanimate objects, I am truly having a good time on all my projects and keeping busy, which is good for me because I tend to get into the troubled zone when I don't have milestones and goals to work towards. But methinks that is another journal entry.

and yes, I have been waiting patiently for an opportunity to use "methinks" in a sentence somewhere.
