So I went and bought a new bikini. Not a proper showy offy one though; it has a cute tiny built-in skirt to cover my bum and the top of my thighs. And a tankini top. Also bought some 2.5 pound ankle weights to make my workouts more efficient. The exercises have recently become easier.

:-) bikini... Great stuff. I have some ankle and wrist weights.... Haven't used them much, I think I was concerned, after reading somewhere, that you should be careful of them, because they can put strain on and damage your joints - probably rubbish. I occasionally put tem on when i am doing my housework :-). There is one person on FS who wears the ankle weights to work (under trousers) so she can exercise her legs when she goes to the loo or photocopier etc. Probably wearing them all day could have a negativ effect - not sure - what do you think?

I think the ankle/wrist weights are safe as long as you carry out the exercises properly. Slow, controlled movements, hold it for 1 or 2 seconds, return to starting position. Just as you would without weights. Damage is done with jerky movements or not landing softly on your feet if you do jumps or similar. With regards to wearing them at work...lol. I often wear skirts, I can imagine the looks I would get. Even under trousers, they seem very bulky. But I might wear them at home too.

I have worn mine at home for the last two days. The extra weight on my ankles constantly reminds me to move more. So I do little dances or straighten my knees whilst sitting. But there is no way I will be seen in public with them!
