Ok, so my workout, the one done after that poster I posted, as much as I stretch it by adding to it... goes around 15 minutes! And, right now, that the max intense exercise I can take! So for the other 15 minutes... I do them... in another set, after I rest, a few hours between. :D

I know that's not the point of it, but, if yesterday I pushed myself, today, without pushing anything too bad, that's it!

I'm not very proud of me, but I rather take this than injure myself again...

Today's weight-in tip: "Sweat, lots of it, is your friend - it tells you're working out intense enought! If you don't see sweat, you're just fooling around, playing "training" ;) ."

LOL I think the sweat thing depends on the person. Some sweat a lot some not so much.

Personally I check my heart-rate rather than go by how much I 'glow' lol. And you need to work at a pace you can sustain. Having a goal is awesome but don't beat yourself up too much if you can't quite make it immediately. Good luck!

Sweat is only your body cooling itself. If you are going all out, max effort, it is not the best way to burn fat! Longer, steadier workouts and especially combo/circuit style workouts will burn more fat, raise your metabolism for longer periods of time and increase your overall fitness. How much you sweat depends on you, your fitness level, the weather, the humidity, what you are doing...Think about it - you sweat pretty good laying in the sun on the beach, but there is no exertion involved! Again, your favorite jeans will tell you everything you need to know. From a former personal trainer, now my own best client!

Agreed the high heat and humidity are what do it to me otherwise I do not sweat much. I cannot do heavy exertion in that type of weather as I would have trouble breathing. The gym I go to is cool with huge ceiling fans. My house has ac and I have fans I can use. I also go by heart rate and how I'm breathing when I do cardio. My doc has done stress tests and has given me guidelines. When strength training I pay attention to my burning muscles and how much further I can push it. I see some others with sweat pouring off, some not.

try exercising in the pool, you don't sweat but you get a good workout without the stress of the heat to bother you. I do water aerobics 4 days a week so I get a good cardio without injuring myself in the process.

Water is awesome if you have the availability.

check your local colleges, they usually offer water aerobics also, the YMCA have classes too. A lot of gyms have pools and offer water aerobics.I am a senior and have arthritics in my back and shoulders so this is how I get my exercise. Check in your local phone book under water aerobics classes and you might be surprised how many people offer it.
