I used to do that too. Took the last 2 years of working on that particular mindset to overcome it. What I found helped was distracting myself. In my case it was moving/exercising. I get that might not be possible for you sometimes. So maybe a distraction that focuses your mind elsewhere - reading, paperwork, phoning/emailing/texting a friend? 😊
