The Reddit mods from my two favorite subs will not continue on Reddit. One is hosting their topic on Lemmy, and one let the sub stay dark. I downloaded a platform for Lemmy, and they are overrun with traffic right now. I uninstalled the app. I feel some withdrawal from scrolling social media. Have not been active on facebook for quite some time. I don't really like Twitter and because I don't selfie, I only use Instagram to look at pics my family members post. I am not making FS my new addiction. I need it to log my intake and graph my weight. I guess I am doing a modified fast from social media.

I tried Facebook and thought it sucked. Never tried Twitter or Instagram or Reddit or Lemmy.

Reddit was addictive for me. I was on a Star Trek subreddit and someone posted about McCoy bullying Spock in the workplace. We went back and forth about whether or not that was considered "healthy and normal" workplace behavior in the 60s. It was kind of eye opening for me to even view it like that. I was raised to be more polite to coworkers, but never thought of McCoy as being rude. It's funny when someone shifts your perceptions like that. I guess that is the draw - find something new.

A wise man told me. We can get into trouble with people and addictions. Ironically we need each other to get out of them as well.... Diff. People. Diff. Outcome.
