Ate way more carbs today than I have in months!!! The calories were low though, I do not think it was too bad, No cakes or sweets other than a sugar free jell cup, did have a chicken burrito I should have had one without the tortilla, next time.

Husbands procedure went better than the doctors had hoped!!! Amputation tomorrow.
Hopefully he will be home Friday.

My whole food plan is carbs Hootie but I stay under 1200 calories and they are all complex carbs...this food plan works...potatoes, white and sweet, 3 fruits a day...all green veggies and pop corn..air popped...and I weigh 113..and its very easy to maintain my weight..I do eat beans and rice too...brown rice..try it for a couple of days for easy weight loss and lots of satisfaction..I hated restricting carbs...I love potatoes...you can make microwave potato chips too..just slice them thin and microwave till crisp..eat with low sugar ketchup..just an idea honey..might try it...I love being vegan.. am gonna try to walk 9 miles this morning..Mike running 15..pray for us..have a great day :) Dianne

so sorry about all your husband is going through..you are brave..do you have good family support..we love you on this site. .I love pinto beans ..I buy Bush's low sodium..think they taste "meaty"..I make them into faux tuna salad with this fat free mayo vegan stuff I buy at Walmart called French's So Lite and Creamy ..its a mayo/mustard mix..but tastes like mayo..in the mustard section...

I am a carnivore and have in the past tried vegetarian (for about a year) prefer meat. I am not purposely trying to keep my carbs that low, or my calories, just not much of an appetite. Because of my husbands diabetes they want to keep his carbs under 60. I try to follow suit, usually do not make it that high. Right now just eating what I want and trying to keep busy. (and keep my spirits up.) As far as family support, none to speak of, I guess I am pretty much my own support most of the time, but that is okay, People on this sight have been very supportive and I so appreciate that.

Did not mean to give you unsolicited input on food plan. Sorry honey you do not have family support..I am a caretaker for my 92 year old mom..so I have some idea..but she is doing pretty well...nothing like the medical issues your hubby has. Hang in there and forgive me for being officious. Lots of my friends go..."you eat what Dianne"? ...so I get it..
