Well, nearly 2 months of Pescatarian lifestyle. I think I have grown gills! I have to say though that I haven't really lost a lot of weight but I feel better.
You know that sluggish feeling after eating heavy meat? Well it's gone, my joints feel better, likely the Omega 3, I can't take Fish Oil caps, they drive my blood sugars too much.
This lifestyle is quite sustainable, I don't miss other meats, I really didn't have steak more that a couple times a year but lived on Chicken and Pork. Have had fun experimenting with different veggies and olive oils, seasonings. I look for sustainable fisheries, eat low mercury fish (not much concern for me, I used to roll mercury around on a table top, yes I know but we used it at the hospital for procedures).
See how I do on an upcoming trip, finding foods I can have, may have to either skip food or make the best choices. I am taking snacks that I can eat.
