Wow, this week went by so quickly. I wasn't able to post like I liked last week because my laptop was in the shop, but now its back so I can update you guys on my progress (or lack thereof lol) and keep myself accountable Last week, I had some serious stomache pains b/c I was taking all of this over the counter medication to counteract TOM water weight and ended up doing more harm than good. I was so fixated on getting down to '160' the lowest I've ever been, that I was doing any and everything to see losses. My body on the other hand wanted nothing to do with that and was punishing me with stomach issues lol. For some reason I'm a perfectionist, and I tend to see the fault in things instead of looking at the bigger picture. I focus on my weight because when my life is out of control, its one of those things that are somewhat predictable=if you cut your calories/work out you'll lose weight, so when that wasn't happening it kind of drove me crazy. Thankfully, I was sticking to my workouts as well. Originally, I thought I was too lazy to do both, but I figured I'd get even better results by combining the two, and after the ease/success of the first week I figured why not keep it. So thanks to SI6 I'm able to be 10lbs heavier than my 'goal' weight, but still fit into my clothes and to some extent fit them even better. It's giving me a shape that I didn't have before, and it's able to show me I shouldn't but too much stock in the scale and lb. losses as a measure of success. I have a favorite pair of jeans that are getting worn in the thigh area, they've been through tons of weight variations, but they fit me well. I ordered some new ones last week in a size smaller, for my next goal, and when I tried them on they fit. I was so amazed and excited! I even Googled to see if the designer was known for vanity sizing, lol. Also, the exercise has been a lifesaver for me to maintain my losses as well b/c I haven't been the greatest on my diet. I had a Coke one day, and that spiraled into at least 4+ days out of the week, to the point where I was craving one this morning, and I haven't had that feeling in a while.

I have a wedding this weekend so I'm going to do the Meat and Egg Fast for a few days. My goals is 3 days, but I'll extend it to 5-6 days if I feel like it. I just want to get away from 169 and more secure in the 160 territory. I'd be lying if I said it wasn't completely to lose lbs. fast, but I also want to get rid of the food cravings. I've been eating out of boredom as well and I haven't done that in about awhile.

I can't figure out how to change my profile picture, so I'll just post them here. I took a few pictures on my camera phone, just to journal my progress. I can't upload my digi cam pics on this laptop, and my Dell is dead until I get replacement charger, so I'll be uploading more when those become available. I hope everyone had a great weekend! :)

The meat fast should work out good for you. Good luck and enjoy the wedding! BTW - if you want to change your pics, go to 'My FatSecret' and at the right side it says 'My Toolbox'. There is a link to change your image in there. Hope this helps!

Hey Cathy, thanks so much! I'm so excited I found you on here, I really think being able to talk about it with someone is so helpful! It's funny b/c I didn't realize how hard Keep It Up is, I think I was misled by the 40min duration, but she doubles up on the resistance and the leg lifts...ugh, the leg lifts, the fact that my leg doesn't go numb anymore is so impressive. I was actually really excited when I did Burn It UP the other night and used 10lb dumbbells I think you'll like the variety of KIU though breaks up the monotony of the SI6 workouts.. I also updated my journal w. the wedding dress I originally planned on wearing, but I'm going to wear a different one instead.

I still die doing Burn it Up. Don't know how I'll ever manage another one. Well maybe this last week will start to feel better. I hope so. I'm glad I found you too. It's awesome sharing with someone who is doing the samething. You are doing so great. KEEP IT UP! LOL
